Cybernetic Gauntlet Girl by frateroshi Cybernetic Gauntlet Girl by frateroshi
this is a new character design i came up with the other day; not sure about backstory or anything. alls i know is that if i lose my arms, i want prosthetics like THOSE! it was my intention to colour this so i could figure out the character's colour scheme, but the green atmosphere just kinda took over. oh well, next time, maybe. i have so much fun doing these post-apocalyptic backgrounds, sometimes they become the real focus. anyways, i love how this came out, even though it was just a quick one.

hand-penciled, painter X, photoshop CS3

Got to say, I love the character design here. However I can't help but butcher a rather well known song when looking:

Those boots ain't made for walkin'.

oh it's true; when you carry around 200+ kilos of cybernetics, you should not wear stillettos. it's funny you mention it, because i conceptualize this character walking around with her arms rather than her legs. thanks, man!

I'll remember that: I was thinking of using this design as inspiration for an enemy in a tabletop RPG campaign I'm running, and something that moves on it's arms would definitely freak out the players a bit.

slick; for more inspiration you could check out my other post of this character entitled "Lady Celadon design sketches" or something. they show a bit more of the details like how ther arms are teloscoping and can fire the claw on a tether. freak em out hard!

i will draw by engraving on steel or by using the blood of the innocent as ink! bwahahaha!! either that or i'll attach a printer to the USB jack on the elbow and draw that way; it's fun to be a cyborg.

thanks, man. yeah, her arms are segmented, so i think they might either bend all crazy or extend; maybe both! i want a pair of those!

we could go halves on a pair, but first we need to have an arm-losing injury so the insurance will help pay for it... hmmm, wanna come over and juggle chainsaws with me?

Eee gad! juggling chainsaws! :fear:
I want mine removed surgically and given to some needy kid. I would love to see a five year old kid waling around with my ape arms. O.K. now this is just getting bizarre... :paranoid:

harhar. can they even do arm transplants?? if so, sign me up as a donor so i can get me some robotic replacements! but wait, i don't have any health insurance yet, give me a few weeks. hmm, does "having arms" count as a pre-existing condition? (this whole conversation is making me sound like an amputation fetishist... i should stop while i'm ahead)

"colours" plural? i don't know what you mean, i only see one colour! haha, i kid; thanks man. sickly green is a fun colour because it can look both beautiful and disgusting at the same time.
